NEXT MEETING WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 4TH Commander Sayers is pleased to announce that our post will record a Veterans CD live at O’Shea’s Olde Inn in April. Our 6 post singers are lined up as well as the Capes best. Bill Black, Terry Clen, Greg Buckley, Joe McDonnald, Chris Henshaw, and Ken McGilvray. Also Terry Brennan, Dave Hickey, Sean Brennan, Johnny Quilter, Johnny O’Sullivan, Brother Phil, etc. Joe Bryan will do the tapping. Some songs will come off the singers already made CD’s. We think this will be a double CD. All proceeds will be put in our Service Foundation for veterans needs only!!!!. Jan 25th at the Irish Village The Parade Committee is hosting a concert with the Sean Fleming Band, $20, Sean came over from Ireland, was drafted and is a Vietnam Veteran. We have tickets. The post will start collecting items to sell at our Yard Sale in May. We want ONLY items that will sell not some ones trash. Ask around clean out you attic etc. Our 5th Annual Chili Fest is Feb. 15th at the Irish Village 1-5PM $10 we have 17 signed up and 8 more interested, Please turn out for this. There are trips planned for the Intrepid Museum & Foxwoods depending on the cost. On January 30th at 6:30 PM there will be a “Court of Honor” for Eagle Scouts at Evangelical Free Church 16 Center St. East Dennis, followed by a buffet. Our Honor Guard will be present. Chaplin Watling recovering from the “bug”. Our post has renewed all but 2 members, we think they moved. Anyone wishing to put info into the newsletter please, email me. The Commander will make the call on it, no politics please. Charlie Chamberlain passed on 1/15 we gave a Memorial Certificate to the family, Charlie was a good guy and he will be missed by all. The 2 new TV programs on our Eagle Forum Show will be done in Jan. Thanks to Great Island Tattoo and Seamus Healey for their donations.
